Program Leader (Part-Time) - Openings on Oʻahu & Hawaiʻi Island

Job Overview

The part-time Program Leader, under the direction of the Site Coordinator is responsible for planning and leading a variety of structured activities for youth in 6-8th grade. Program Leaders will supervise students at all times, assist with homework help and engage students in enrichment/academic/health and fitness activities.

Able to work in a team setting and be highly communicative

Experience working with students in grades K-12 preferred

Must provide a TB clearance and pass a fingerprinting clearance prior to working with students

Program Assistant (Part-Time) - Openings on Hawaiʻi Island

Job Overview
The part-time Program Assistant, under the direction of the Site Coordinator is responsible to assist Program Leaders and Site Coordinator in the daily implementation of the After-School All-Stars program model for youth in 6-8th grade. Program Assistants will

Supervise students at all times

Listen and take direction from the Site Coordinator

Assist with homework help and engage students in enrichment/academic/health and fitness activities

Work in conjunction with the Site Coordinator and fellow Program Leaders to ensure the smooth delivery of program activities

Complete attendance accurately and report absentees to the Site Coordinator

Ensure a safe environment for all students

Prepare supplies, materials and any other items needed by the Program Leaders or Site Coordinators
Schedule
Weekdays from 2:00pm-6:00 pm (times vary), but some weekend work may be available

Between 4-19 hours, depending on applicants availability

Be able to take direction

Be able to identify unsafe conditions

Be able to remain calm in difficult situations

Be patient and professional

Have a familiarity with, and passion for, working with low income youth

Have the ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate sensitivity to others as well as respond to critical incidents and act swiftly in an emergency situation

Be a self-starter with a great personality, passionate about serving youth in an educational setting and the ability to mentor middle school students ensuring they have a positive, fun and educational after-school experience

Able to work in a team setting and be highly communicative

Some experience/knowledge about after-school programs, preferred

Must provide a TB clearance and pass a fingerprinting clearance prior to working with students

Site Coordinator (Full-Time) - Openings on Oʻahu

Job Overview

The full-time Site Coordinator, under the direction of the Program Team and School Principal, is responsible for the daily operations of the program, including, but not limited to, personnel, activities, and general program operations.
Job Duties
See below for a partial list of duties:

Monitor program activities to ensure quality programming

Maintain an inviting, safe and orderly environment

Maintain a clear and consistent line of communication with program staff, school administration and parents

Develop schedules that incorporate student interests, required curricula and timeframes and ensures their accurate implementation

Organize student recruitment activities

Maintain and forward fiscal data, including receipts, time sheets, material requests, evaluations, and attendance data to the Program Team according to established procedures and timelines

One or more years’ experience working in a leadership or supervisory capacity in an after-school, day camp, or community youth outreach setting is preferred

Able to work in a team setting, be highly communicative and have excellent organizational skills

Availability to work on evenings or weekends for field trips and special events

Must provide a TB clearance and pass a fingerprinting clearance prior to working with students
