After-School All-Stars Hawaii Appoints Dawn Matsuyama Dunbar as Executive Director; Elects Founding Board of Directors

AFTER-SCHOOL ALL-STARS HAWAII APPOINTS DAWN MATSUYAMA DUNBAR AS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR; ELECTS FOUNDING BOARD OF DIRECTORS

 

HONOLULU, HI – - Dawn Matsuyama Dunbar has been named executive director of After-School All-Stars Hawaii, a new non-profit launching comprehensive after school programs in Hawaii’s middle schools this year.  Dunbar will oversee all aspects in starting up the organization, and is responsible for the overall organizational management and leadership, fundraising, promotion of the organization within the community, and the development and monitoring of the Hawaii Chapter’s programs.

Born and raised in Honolulu, Dunbar has over 15 years of marketing, public and community relations experience, and most recently directed the corporate communications efforts for American Savings Bank.  She has served on the non-profit boards of Ahahui Koa Anuenue, The GIFT Foundation of Hawaii, Public Relations Society of America – Hawaii chapter, and is a member of the Pacific Century Fellows.
