What a view! All-Star students from Nanakuli High and Intermediate School and President George Washington Middle School hiked four miles to reach the Nanakuli Lookout at Camp Pālehua. And the trek was well worth it, the view is spectacular!

It's the first day of CampUs on Hawaii Island and outgoing 8th grade students from Keeau, Kau and Pahoa are at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo to learn about what to expect in high school, college and beyond. While most were on holiday today, the All-Stars staff were working hard on our 2017 CampUs All About U curriculum! We are excited to deliver hands-on project based learning by having students build their own universities.
After-School All-Stars from Waianae Intermediate School, Nanakuli High and Intermediate School and President George Washington Middle School attended a field trip to Waimea Valley. Na Pāani Kahiko program introduced students to traditional games and activities that were part of daily life in ancient Hawaii. At Waimea’s Hawaiian Games Site, students participated in hands-on, group activities to gain a better understanding and appreciation of the cultural, historical, and social importance of these ancient Hawaiian sports. Students learned protocol, rules, teamwork, sportsmanship, and Hawaiian values.
